As of Novemebr 2007 I have gotten my feet wet with yet another mode of Amateur Radio - APRS.
Simply enough a spare 2 meter mobile rig was put on the air with a $50.00 "tracker". But with no
coverage in my area we were then were forced to put up our own internet gateway using UI-View on a Dell
coputer with a cable model connection.
That filled the void for awhile as we played with makeing tracks in and around town. But it became
apparent we were still living in a relative small coverage area and it would be necessary to get some
hill top digi-peaters on line to at least link up with other gate ways.
